GI Systems & Platform Interfaces

GeoVille's GI Systems & Platform Interfaces service designs, builds and operates web applications, APIs, microservices and big spatial databases that let organisations query, process and disseminate Earth observation data at continental and global scale. In the Global Flood Monitoring (GFM) component of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service, coordinated by the EC Joint Research Centre and delivered by an EODC-led consortium, GeoVille runs the cloud and HPC operating layer with process monitoring, the data access and dissemination system including its Web Map Service, and quality assurance, for a chain that automatically processes every incoming Sentinel-1 scene worldwide, 24/7. It also built the browser-based GFM Validator used for the service's global accuracy assessment. For ESA, GeoVille and its partners developed and operate DUNIA, an all-in-one platform for processing and disseminating Earth observation data across Africa, with a cloud development environment that includes JupyterLab and QGIS. Dedicated APIs distribute GeoVille's analytical processing capacities to IT systems anywhere under flexible B2B licences, and its fault-tolerant, multi-cloud production systems serve continental and global-scale needs for clients including ESA, the European Environment Agency and the EC Joint Research Centre.
